The Madison Sparrow Case: Beaten With A Bat By Her Ex Boyfriend and Classmate

[Newark, Delaware]

17 year old Madison Sparrow vanished from her home on October 2nd, 2020. She told her mother that she was going to get ice cream with a female friend and to shop for a birthday present for her sister. By 8:30pm that night, Madison hadn’t made it back home so her mother called the police. Apparently, authorities quickly contacted the female friend that Madison was last known to be with.

She told them that Madison planned to meet her ex boyfriend, Noah Sharp (19), in a wooded area behind Maclary Elementary School around 3:45pm.

When investigators arrived at the wooded area, they recovered various articles of Madison’s clothing, along with blood splatter. The most alarming discovery was an aluminum baseball bat. When police interviewed Noah, he immediately confessed to luring Madison into the woods and beating her to death with the bat. Since police had only found evidence of the crime and not her body, Noah made an agreement to guide them to where he dumped her.

Her lifeless, brutally beaten body was found in a wooded area near Interstate 95 and Del. 896. The autopsy confirmed that her death was blunt force trauma.

The 19 year old killer was arrested on October 5th and indicted on charges of first degree murder, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and first-degree conspiracy. After his arrest, Noah dropped a bombshell that he wasn’t the only one involved in Madison’s murder. A second person who Madison knew well named Annika Stalczynski (17) also took part in the luring and beating of Madison. Annika was Madison’s classmate. A picture of her has not been released yet. She is currently being held in a juvenile detention center on the same charges as Noah.

Due to the case being so new, the closeness between Annika and Madison has not been officially distinguished. The motive for the murder has also not been identified.
